Lace Up—The 23rd Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run is Almost Here!

The countdown is on! In just 4 days, the 23rd Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run takes place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Hansen Dam Aquatic Center in Lakeview Terrace, CA. This is more than just a race, it’s a chance to make a real impact for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.

Exciting Race Day Highlights!

  • 5K/10K Walk & Run – Compete or stroll for a great cause
  • Canines for CATS Dog Walk – Bring your furry friend for a tail-wagging good time
  • Kids Fun Run – Medals, T-shirts, and even a chance to adopt a stuffed kitten for young racers
  • LAPD Units On Site! – Meet officers and check out the Mounted Unit, Motor Unit, K9 Unit, Dive Unit, and an epic Flyby!

Every step you take supports two critical programs:

  • C∙A∙T∙S (Center for Assault Treatment Services) – Providing forensic exams for victims.
  • Medical Safe Haven – Offering specialized care for survivors of human trafficking.

Join us for the 35th Anniversary of the Northridge Hospital Foundation Golf Classic on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the beautiful Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, CA.

Your generous support over the years has helped fund life-saving programs, health initiatives, and advanced medical equipment at Northridge Hospital. This year, funds raised will go towards purchasing a new CT scanner to enhance imaging, improve patient care, and boost efficiency for emergency cases.

Auction Items Needed for the 2025 Annual Golf Classic On-Line Auction!

The 2025 Annual Golf Classic on May 12 is just around the corner, and we’re gearing up for another fantastic on-line auction to support our cause. The success of our silent auction is crucial to our fundraising efforts to purchase a new CT scanner for the hospital, and we need your help to make the auction a great success.

What We Need:
•    Gift Certificates: For goods, services, dining experiences, travel, and more!
•    New and Unused Items: Please ensure they’re in their original packaging.
•    Event Tickets: Concerts, theater performances, sports events, and more.
•    Timeshares: Any destination, anywhere.
•    Miscellaneous Items: Games, beauty products, jewelry, pet care, children's items, gardening products, cooking items, wine accessories, sporting goods, and more!
•    Auction Basket Items: Anything that can be creatively grouped into themed baskets.
•    Empty Large Baskets or Containers: To wrap and display our auction items.

Northridge Hospital Foundation Honored with Region of the Year Award!

2025 Region of the Year Phillie Award

At a powerful gathering in Phoenix, Arizona, Northridge Hospital Foundation, along with our California Sister Foundations, was honored with the prestigious Region of the Year Award at the 2025 CommonSpirit Health Philanthropy Phillie Awards. This recognition celebrates the dedication, collaboration, and generosity that drive our mission forward.

The Region of the Year award is given to foundations that demonstrate outstanding performance in philanthropy, donor engagement, and financial stewardship.

Key achievements that led to this honor:

  • Raised $106 million in fiscal year 2024
  • Transferred $74 million to hospitals to enhance patient care
  • Increased hospital transfers by 32%, exceeding three times operating expenses
  • Kept the cost to raise a dollar at just 22 cents, ensuring donor contributions go further
  • Exemplified collaboration and best practices across all foundations
  • Launched innovative donor engagement programs to expand support

This award is a testament to the hard work, passion, and commitment of our entire philanthropy team, donors, and community partners. We are incredibly proud to be part of a region that continues to set the bar for excellence in health care philanthropy.

Play for Jade Events raises $2,500 for the
Jade Lee Marasigan Charitable Fund

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, Play for Jade Events hosted a fantastic event at Winnetka Bowl, bringing together 70 bowlers of all ages and backgrounds to bowl in memory of Jade. The afternoon was filled with fun, support, reunions, new friendships, and shared moments of joy. Our President, Brian Hammel, joined in the fun.

 Congresswoman Rivas Visits C∙A∙T∙S at the
Family Justice Center

We were honored to welcome Congresswoman Luz Rivas to the Family Justice Center at the Center for Assault Treatment Services (C∙A∙T∙S) for an insightful tour of our facility. During her visit, Congresswoman Rivas met with our dedicated team and learned about the critical services we provide to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.

Her tour highlighted the comprehensive, trauma-informed care available at the center, including forensic exams, advocacy support, and multi-agency collaboration to help survivors rebuild their lives. The Congresswoman expressed her appreciation for the work being done and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting essential services for victims in our community.

We are grateful for her visit and continued advocacy for survivors. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
