Run, Walk, Support: Be a Hero at the 23rd Annual Victory for Victims!"

V4V 2024 Photo

Get ready for an unforgettable event that combines fun, fitness, and giving back! The 23rd Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run is just around the corner—happening Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the scenic Hansen Dam Aquatic Center in Lakeview Terrace, CA. This isn’t just any Walk/Run—it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.

By joining us, you’re helping fund two life-changing programs: the Center for Assault Treatment Services (C∙A∙T∙S), which provides critical forensic exams and interviews for victims, and the Medical Safe Haven (MSH) program, offering specialized medical and mental health care for survivors of human trafficking. These services are vital to helping individuals rebuild their lives—and with your support, we can do even more!

This year, we’re aiming to raise $150,000, and we need YOU to help us reach that goal! Whether you walk, run, or fundraise, every step you take will directly impact someone in need. You can create your own fundraising page, gather donations, or even become a sponsor to help us make a lasting difference.

Here’s where it gets even more exciting: We’re giving away a $150 gift card to the store of your choice for new running shoes to the person who raises the most funds by race day! So get your friends, family, and coworkers involved, and let’s see how much we can achieve together!

Race Day Highlights:

  • 5K/10K Walk/Run (for all fitness levels!)
  • Kids Fun Run (because the little ones can make a BIG impact too!)
  • Canines for CATS Friendly Dog Walk (bring your furry friend for a tail-wagging good time!)

Race Day Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM – Registration Opens
  • 7:45 AM – Opening Ceremonies & Aerobic Warm-Up

This is your chance to make a huge impact while having fun and staying active. Don’t wait—register today, start fundraising, and help us make this year’s Victory for Victims Walk/Run the best yet! Visit https://www.supportnorthridge.org/v4v2025 to sign up and start your journey toward making a real difference!

We can't wait to see you there! Let’s unite to support survivors and create lasting change in our community!

Northridge Hospital Community Rallies to Support Colleagues Affected by Eaton Fire

In the face of devastating loss, two members of the Northridge Hospital family have found strength and solace in the overwhelming support of their colleagues and community. Both colleagues were affected by the recent Eaton Fire in Altadena, which tragically destroyed their homes and left them with the heartbreaking task of rebuilding their lives.

However, in true Northridge Hospital fashion, their coworkers refused to let them face this crisis alone. The outpouring of generosity has been nothing short of remarkable, as employees, organizations, and local partners have come together to provide financial assistance and emotional support during this incredibly difficult time.

Thanks to the collective efforts of the Northridge Hospital Foundation, Northridge Hospital employees, valued partners of our community, and Change Reaction, a non-profit organization, thousands of dollars has been raised to help these employees in their time of need.

It is a reminder that, when tragedy strikes, it is the people who stand beside us that help us find our way forward.

The Foundation is still collecting contributions for our fire relief fund. If you are interested in contributing, please contact Brian Hammel at Brian.Hammel@commonspirit.org or visit www.supportnorthridge.org.
