The Center for Assault Treatment Services (C·A·T·S) celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the Family Justice Center and the Open House of the Mock Courtroom

CATS Courtroom

On February 8, 2024, we are proud to celebrate the open house of the onsite mock courtroom and the tenth anniversary of working together as a multidisciplinary team at the Family Justice Center. We are excited to acknowledge our achievements and thank our supporters and key stockholders for helping make the FJC so successful. We are honored that LAPD Chief Michel Moore will be speaking at the event.

For over 26 years, the Center for Assault Treatment Services (CˑAˑTˑS) has served over 22,000 victims of interpersonal violence. CˑAˑTˑS has provided these services for the past ten years at the only Family Justice Center (FJC) in the San Fernando Valley. Co-located in Van Nuys, CˑAˑTˑS collaborates with Strength United advocates, the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, surrounding law enforcement agencies, and many other off-site partners using a trauma-informed practice.

Family Justice Centers are nationally recognized, evidence-based models. The FJC is designed as a “one-stop shop,” wherein victims can receive trauma-informed services from multiple agencies in one location. Doing so helps relieve the burden on victims experiencing trauma as they navigate the medical-legal system.
