Registration Now Open for the 23rd Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run!

2017 CATS Nammer

We are excited to invite you to register for the 23rd Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run, taking place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Hansen Dam Aquatic Center in Lakeview Terrace, CA. This important community event supports two vital programs: the Center for Assault Treatment Services (C∙A∙T∙S), which provides free forensic medical exams and interviews for victims of sexual assault, and domestic violence and the Medical Safe Haven (MSH) program, which offers integrated medical and mental health care exclusively for survivors of human trafficking. MSH is the only program of its kind in Los Angeles, providing critical services to those in need.

Our fundraising goal this year is $150,000, and we need your support to reach it. Your participation in the walk/run and your generous contributions will directly support these essential services, helping those who are most vulnerable.

Race Day Schedule:

7:00 AM – Registration Opens
7:45 AM – Opening Ceremonies & Aerobic Warm-Up

To register and learn more about the event, please visit https://www.supportnorthridge.org/v4v2025.

Whether through sponsorships, donations, or joining us as a walker or runner, your involvement will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by violence. Together, we can ensure the continuation of these life-saving programs.

We look forward to seeing you on April 5th as we unite to make a lasting impact in our community and support survivors in their journey toward healing.

Amy Kimball and Dave Schmickel’s Generous Donation of $6,000 Supports Northridge Hospital’s Emergency and Trauma Department

In a remarkable display of gratitude and resilience, Amy Kimball and her partner Dave Schmickel have made a generous contribution of $6,000 to support the Emergency and Trauma Department at Northridge Hospital. This donation follows Amy and Dave's life-saving care at the hospital after a severe accident during a visit to Los Angeles.

Amy's recovery, following a traumatic incident that left her with critical injuries, is a testament to the exceptional care provided by Northridge Hospital’s Trauma Center and Rehabilitation Department. Upon her arrival at the hospital, Amy's condition was uncertain, and survival was not guaranteed. However, through the expertise and dedication of the trauma and rehabilitation teams, Amy not only survived but regained the ability to walk, ultimately returning home to Maryland with Dave by her side.

Grateful for the extraordinary care they received, Dave and Amy were inspired to give back to the hospital that played a pivotal role in saving Amy and Dave’s life. Their story resonated with others, including the Amgen Foundation, which offered to match their donation. Together, they raised $6,000, which will directly benefit the Emergency and Trauma Department at Northridge Hospital.

This generous donation from Amy, Dave, and the Amgen Foundation will help Northridge Hospital continue to provide life-saving trauma care and support to those in need. Their story serves as a powerful reminder of the profound impact of high-quality medical care on patients and their families.
