Golden Hour Guild

Help Support Everyday Miracles

Annual Brunch A Success!

The Golden Hour Guild takes its name from the term given to the critical first hour of care after a traumatic injury. The first hour can make a difference in saving lives and improving recovery.

Two dynamic women established the Golden Hour Guild in 1985: Joan Geisbush, the founding president, and Susan Miller, the vice president. Through their dedication and active participation, the Guild has helped the Northridge Hospital Trauma Center evolve into a state-of-the-art facility that saves lives and helps prevent permanent disability. The Guild has raised more than $750,000 for the Trauma Center.

The term trauma center refers to a hospital that maintains specialized equipment and a panel of physician specialists, including a trauma surgeon, who are available 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week specifically to treat trauma patients. Northridge Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with a systematic approach to trauma.

Trauma care requires rigorous staffing criteria, and a constant state of readiness working in coordination with the county’s trauma system. The continuing efforts of the Guild play a significant role in helping maintain an active Trauma Center when many trauma facilities in Los Angeles County have been forced to close due to the tremendous financial strain.

YOU CAN HELP provide the HIGHEST QUALITY TRAUMA CARE

Even if you are not the doctor performing life-saving procedures or the healthcare professional comforting a patient, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients needing trauma care.

Your contributions help provide the latest technologies matched with the extraordinary care of our doctors, nurses and other talented professionals.

Northridge Hospital Medical Center treats over 1,000 trauma patients each year. We are committed to providing the best in trauma care. The innovative spirit of the medical team along with the support of the Guild benefits every member of the community.

The Golden Hour Guild is committed to the future of trauma care, but can't carry out this life saving work alone. The Guild’s primary purpose is to raise money to help purchase equipment for the Trauma Center.

The Guild’s success depends on others who share our vision for providing the best care to the community now and in the future. Your individual membership makes you an active participant in supporting your trauma center and helping to save hundreds of lives each year.

If you would like to support the Trauma Center, please call the Foundation office 818-885-5341, ext. 2. You'll enjoy fun and friendship while having the satisfaction of helping a very worthy cause! For your convenience you can also send in the membership form included in the Golden Hour Guild brochure.
