SO 2023 monitors photoPROCEEDS FROM THIS YEAR’S EVENT WILL BENEFIT:  THE EMERGENCY & TRAUMA DEPARTMENTS

This year's Steppin' Out proceeds will benefit the Trauma & Emergency Departments with the purchase of 26 cardiac monitors. These devices provide the clinician an overview of the patient's hemodynamic (blood flow) condition, as well as, portray the patient's heart rhythm, blood pressure, oxygenation, and pulse. It lets the clinician know how the patient's heart and blood circulation are functioning. Any time there is an arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) or change in vital signs, the monitors beep, alerting the clinician to check on the patient. In addition, when patients are in critical condition and require mechanical ventilation, the monitors help the physician determine ventilation status with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring.

“CELEBRATION OF HOPE” AWARD RECIPIENTS: THE UNSUNG HEROES IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Unsung heroes often go unrecognized in their rush to care for our most injured and ill patients in the Emergency and Trauma Departments. Yet, their every action is critical to the health and safety of our patients—whether they take vital signs, transport patients, or discharge them. The Celebration of Hope Award honors these heroes who exemplify self-sacrifice, compassion and humankindness. We thank them for bringing light to our patients and showing them that there is HOPE in their recovery.

Striving to make our hospital the best hospital for our community, we know we can continue to do that with your support!
