Funding the Hospital of the Future
Through the continued generosity of our donors the Northridge Hospital Foundation raised nearly $3.1 million and provided the Northridge Hospital Medical Center with $3,154,000 in support of purchasing state-of-the-art medical equipment and funding community programs and services.
In the 2010 Annual Report you'll read about some of the exciting developments and changes that have occurred over the past year at the Northridge Hospital Medical Center and how the Foundation has assisted in their funding. Yet with all of these changes, one thing remains the same: Northridge Hospital’s commitment to providing superlative, compassionate care to each and every patient whose life we touch.
A special thanks to all our donors who have contributed to help the Foundation further its charitable mission.

Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS) and Valley CARES Family Justice Center
This year to date, Northridge Hospital’s CATS program treated 1,039 children and adult victims of sexual abuse and assault. CATS is the only 24/7 program in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys that works in conjunction with law enforcement, child protective services and the District Attorney’s office to assist with the collection of evidence, proper reporting of abuse and follow-up investigation. The CATS philosophy is that prevention is the key to decreasing child abuse and sexual assault.
CATS is pleased to be collaborating with the new Valley CARES Family Justice Center. The center offers around-the-clock services under one roof for abused adults and children in need of legal and social assistance. The first of its kind in Los Angeles County, the Valley CARES Family Justice Center will provide a multitude of resources to adults and children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
