Like many others that worked all year to plan their 2020 annual fundraising walk/runs in the spring, we had to make a decision to either cancel, reschedule, or change our live event to a virtual one due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Not knowing how long the “Safer at Home” and public gathering restrictions would be in force, we decided to move our C·A·T·S Victory for Victims Walk/Run from a live event to a virtual one, keeping our April 25, 2020 date in place. Though participation was down, this purely virtual event was still able to generate over $100,000 to help C·A·T·S continue their work of providing services to victims of sexual assault, human trafficking, and domestic violence.

In 2021, Victory for Victims is going HYBRID.

This means that our runners and walkers will be able to choose whether they participate in-person (Classic) or remotely (Virtual). Choosing the Classic option will enable runners and walkers to join us, once again, at Woodley Park with modified timings to ensure social distancing and mask requirements to protect the safety of all involved. If runners and walkers go with the Virtual option, they simply complete a course where they can and send us a screenshot of their time and distance.

In whatever fashion our participants choose to join us, the outcome remains the same: continued funding for the Center for Assault Treatment Services. Whether together, or apart, or apart together, join us on April 24, 2021 to run and walk for justice, hope, healing, and VICTORY!
