Employee Giving 2022

2022 Employee Giving Campaign raises $233,048!

The Employee “Spirit of Giving” Partners Program is an annual campaign that enables each employee to make a charitable contribution to support Northridge Hospital. Employees who participate send a profound message to the community that -  employees not only work here, but also truly believe in the hospital's mission. By working together, you can help us, help others.

We are proud to announce that this year we had 277 employees participate in our Employee “Spirit of Giving” Campaign who collectively helped raise $233,048.

No matter if we work in surgery, admitting, EVS or other departments, we are all on the same team and we all want to help save lives.

Being the one of the leading hospitals in the San Fernando Valley, there are always changing needs for the hospital to continue to meet our high standards and stay technologically advanced. Northridge Hospital Foundation is dedicated to helping pave the way.

Employees throughout our ministry are always willing to help people in need. To read an inspiring story of a colleague who put her generosity into action, beyond the walls of our hospital and out into our community, see below.

Our hope is that we can connect each and every employee to a program or service that will resonate with you and inspire your support.

A wonderful story from our ICU Nurses "Paying it Forward"

ICU nurses, Esther with check

Esther Hallowanger, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse, embarked on a mini fundraising campaign to help the local food banks and homeless shelters in our community. She gathered her team of nurses in the ICU and asked them to consider donating to help those that are in need of food and shelter. Through her leadership, strong relationships and follow through, she collected a total of $21,392.50. With these funds we are able to assist numerous food pantries, food banks, distribution centers and shelters, below is a list of the organizations we supported:

  • Loaves and Fishes II - $3,892.50
  • Meet Each Need with Dignity (M.E.N.D) - $2,500.00
  • Valley Food Bank - $2,500.00
  • Food Forward North Hollywood - $2,500.00
  • LA Family Housing - $2,500.00
  • Guadalupe Community Center - $2,500.00
  • Santa Clarita Food Pantry - $2,500.00
  • Northeast Valley Homeless Healthcare Clinic - $2,500.00

These heroes in scrubs are creating positive changes that impact the health outcomes of our most vulnerable community members!
